Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club Christmas Draw
These rules are for this draw only. Please read them with the Play Fund Win Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (the “general terms”). The general terms were written for draws entered on playfundwin.com with an account. This draw runs on its own page and needs no account, so the changes below apply. If these rules and the general terms disagree, these rules apply to this draw.

1. Promoter and beneficiary
The promoter is Play Fund Win, a brand of PFW Holdings Ltd, registered in England & Wales no. 12267104, Willoughby House, 2 Broad Street, Stamford, PE9 1PG. The draw is run on behalf of Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club, which receives the money raised after the cost of the prize, card processing and the Play Fund Win platform fee.
2. Who can enter
UK residents aged 18 or over. Online, you confirm both when you enter. You can't enter for someone else. A prize won by someone under 18, or by an entry that breaks these rules, is void.
3. Dates
The draw is open now and closes on Sunday 20 December, 8:00 pm (UK time). Online entries made after that are not accepted. Postal entries must arrive by Wednesday 23 December, 8:00 pm.
4. The prize
Win a £250 Luxury Christmas Hamper (value £250). A hamper packed with festive food, drink and treats, ready for the big day. One winner, drawn at random after the draw closes. The winner can choose free delivery to a UK address or collection from the club. We aim to get the hamper to the winner before Christmas. Image for illustration. Hamper contents may vary. There is no cash alternative. The prize is provided by or for Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club, as set out in clause 6 of the general terms.
5. Paid entry
Enter on this draw's page and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Bundles available:
- 1 entry: £5
- 3 entries: £10
- 10 entries: £25
An entry only counts once payment is confirmed. You'll get a confirmation email with your reference and ticket numbers. Each person can have up to 100 entries in this draw, across paid and postal entries.
6. Free postal entry
You can enter at no cost, with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry. Send a stamped (first or second class) postcard or letter to:

Include your full name, postal address, email address, phone number and the words “Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club Christmas Draw”. One entry per postcard or letter, each sent separately. Bulk or hand-delivered entries are not accepted. No account is needed. Each valid postal entry counts as one entry and gets one ticket number. Postal entries count towards the per-person limit and must arrive by the deadline in section 3. We aren't responsible for post that is lost, late or illegible.
7. Ticket numbers and picking the winner
Every valid entry gets its own ticket number (a bundle of 10 gets 10 numbers in a row). Numbers aren't reused, even if an entry is refunded or cancelled. Only valid entries are in the draw.
After the postal deadline:
- We lock the entries. The full list of ticket numbers is published on the draw record, next to each entry's random reference (never names), with a SHA-256 fingerprint of the list.
- At the same moment we commit to a future round of the drand public randomness beacon (run by the League of Entropy, drand.love). It is about two minutes ahead, so nobody, including Play Fund Win, can know the number in advance.
- When that round is published, the winning ticket is found by taking SHA-256 of “beacon randomness:list fingerprint:0”. The first 12 hexadecimal digits are read as a number, and that number modulo the total number of tickets gives the winning position in the list. If the number is too large to split evenly between the tickets, we move on to “:1”, then “:2”, and so on, so every ticket has exactly the same chance.
Anyone can repeat these steps from the draw record and get the same winner. A lock can only be cancelled before its beacon round is published, and cancelled locks stay on the public record with the reason.
8. Telling the winner
Play Fund Win will contact the winner by email or phone, using the details given at entry. If we can't reach the winner, or they don't reply, within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited. Another winner is then drawn the same way, with earlier winners left out. The winner may be asked for proof of identity and age.
9. Publicity
We publish that the draw took place and the winning ticket number and reference. We only publish the winner's first name, initial and town if they agree.
10. Your details
Play Fund Win (PFW Holdings Ltd) is responsible for your details. How we use them is explained in the privacy notice for this draw, which sits alongside the Play Fund Win privacy policy. We only show your town in the “recent entries” feed if you ask us to, and never your name.
11. Refunds and cancellation
Entries are final once the draw closes. If Play Fund Win cancels the draw, paid entries are refunded to the original payment method (clause 8 of the general terms). For help, email hello@playfundwin.com. To complain, see the Play Fund Win complaints procedure.
